I don't believe it will be back ported to an older Kernel, I'm pretty sure Void will provide the newest Kernel, because the maintainer will buy a AMD Navi then. Void started also with Kernel 5.0, AFAIK. Because of the "endianness issue", the maintainer of AdelieLinux mentioned something in this direction. But I'm not a developer, so I don't really know the subject. Here are some more links: Quote: "All AMDGPU targets use ELFDATA2LSB for little-endian byte ordering." https://llvm.org/docs/AMDGPUUsage.html#header https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96625 I pre-ordered the Blackbird in 2018 on Black Friday. There was a bundle. Mainboard + Quadcore for $999. The CPU itself costs $375, this means at the end the mainboard had a price of $624. The heat sink costs only $75 at that time. The current price increase probably has something to do with the trade war between the USA and China. Today CentOS 8 should be released: https://twitter.com/CentOSProject/status/1173652996305170432 End of August there was another PS3 CellOS update. AlpineLinux version you could change to 3.10.2. |
