Ez az újabb kártyákra már nem igaz szerencsére...
Nem a kártyákkal van baj, hanem a driverrel, az meg még most is egy raklap alsógatya.

Nekem az nVidiat is telibefosta az a draga nouveau. Ott laggolt a Linux graf. driver nelkul KETTO GeForce chippel.
A gyári nVidia drivert kell használni, nem a nyíltforrású hulladékot.

Én személyesen többet szoptam NVidiával(8200,8400GS) GNU/Linux alatt, mint AMD-szel.
Gondolom meg sem próbáltál OpenGL-es cuccokat futtatni, vagy WINE-nal játszani, vagy neadj isten X-et programozni. Browserekben, videólejátszóban a hw gyorsítás is baszott menni rendesen. Lehet, hogy maguk az AMD kártyák jobbak az nVidia kártyáknál, de szart se érünk vele, ha a driver-je meg sokkal fosabb.
