@Carlos:Here is an article about Void Linux or q66 seems to be one of the developers of Void.
https://www.talospace.com/2019/01/void-linux-goes-power9.html#comment-form Yeah, i see, but for me it seems, that Void for PPC is still not released. I could not find anything PPC related on their site. I just found some forums about Void is being ported to PPC.@Carlos:Here is the page of Adélie Linux:
https://www.adelielinux.org
Have tried a few links, they work for me:
https://distfiles.adelielinux.org/adelie/1.0-beta2/iso/ I've found this very same link, but unfortunately it does not work for me at all.@Carlos:Alpine Linux only runs POWER8 so far. Work is underway on a POWER9 version:
https://twitter.com/alpinelinux/status/1039619838271004674 Yep, i've already added Alpine after your first post. :)@Carlos:Homepage of Fienix
https://fienixppc.blogspot.com I've found their page too, but i only found a beta image without any information of what kind of PPC hardware it is targeting.@Carlos:Yocto Linux runs on a T2080 PowerPC from NXP (Freescale). Sorry, I have not found a download link:
https://www.powerpc-notebook.org/tag/yocto/ Me neither, but thanks for the tip, i'm gonna follow their progress and one day maybe they gonna do a release.@Carlos:Then you might have heard of RaptorCS. They offer an open source, blob-free POWER9 system:
https://www.raptorcs.com
Wiki: https://wiki.raptorcs.com/wiki/Main_Page Wow, no i did not heard about them, but this is some great news! The only thing what disappoints me is their price... Even if i'd buy the cheapest setup (Blackbird with a 4 core POWER9), that is still 1200 USD which is way more than my monthly income... :(
I wonder if the developers of MorphOS and Amiga OS4 are planning to support these hardwares?@Carlos:There is still a Linux and BSD on PowerPC Facebook group :-) Well, since i don't have a facebook account, i'm gonna miss that. :)@Carlos:That's it for now from my side :-) Thanks for the tips! It seems, that something has begun on the PPC front, maybe desktop PPC computing is not yet dead.@Carlos:I really love your OSs lists :-) I'm glad you liked it.@M4u5:Van-e valahol valami ócó PPC-s gép? Gentoo-t akarok erjeszteni rá. Max valami régi PowerMac. Az újkori PPC-s gépek überdrágák. |
