@Carlos:AFAIK, there are repositories for D9 and D10. They just need feedback from users. Well, as soon as i will have some time, i will update the D8 on my G5. I hope it will work.@Carlos:Regards the GNUstepers, the question is, if they are aware that there is still a D9 PowerPC image via ports? Good question. I think i'll drop a mail to them.@Carlos:There is also a POWER9BSD (based on FreeBSD)
https://github.com/POWER9BSD/freebsd Sounds good, but does it exists only in source form?@Carlos:HelenOS was updated to 0.9.1:
http://www.helenos.org/wiki/Download Thanks for saying, i updated both my lists.@Carlos:And as of now, Fienix supports PPC64: X1000, X5000 and G5:
https://fienixppc.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_15.html Hey, that is great news! As i see, Fienix is based on Debian, so even if Debian will totally stop supporting PPC, this one may be a good replacement. I added their stuff to my list.@Carlos:And also a port of OpenBSD will come to POWER9 some day:
https://twitter.com/RaptorCompSys/status/1133466342567366659 While it is good, that they will support the Raptor, i think they should normally support the G5 first; currently OpenBSD runs only in G4 mode on the G5. |
