Épp föltettem az IG2 újabb verzióját, hogy leporoljam a tudásomat, hogy még mindig ugyanúgy elpicsázom a Zsinarikkal az Univerzumot, mint régen. Erre a diplomácia-menüben:

Érdekes. Ilyen Linux/WINE alatt szokott történni. Az atom.hu fórumán 2011-ben meg is emlékeztem róla:

Ha Linux alatt (wineból) valakinek kifagyna a játék a diplomácia illetve kémkedés képernyőkön, akkor a workaround az, hogy a "fejek" könyvtárat átnevezi.
A delikvens képe helyén egy vicces "String osztály" felirat fog díszelegni, de legalább nem fagy.

Regarding VoidLinux GTK, it looks like it's GTK3. I scrolled through the repository and found GTK+ and GTK+3

Yes, KDE5 is slow. But also available in the repo.

I think the reason why much more distros are available now, could be because of Raptor Computing. There are also a lot of be lovers out there, for good reason ;-)
And Raptor also claimed over and over there will be a OpenPOWER laptop coming sooner or later. I think they also knew something about the OpenSource OpenPOWER initiative.

Future will tell.

All this looks very good (expect the price), but we still will need some GFX card drivers then and AFAIK, both AMD and nVidia GFX drivers are x86/ARM-only. And the open source drivers are useless. Is it even possible to run a Raptor workstation with a PC GFX card? I know the Talos II have a Radeon Pro WX 7100, but i have no idea, how Linux will use it.

Apart from the fact that you need the AMDGPU OpenSource driver, you also need the firmware:

That sounds good. It means, this setup could be a real workstation and not just a powerful machine, with rag-tag software.
That fix will be backported to older kernels? Or will Void provide an 5.4 kernel?
The sound card support definitely needs more work, though.

As for endianity, i think it does not really matter which endian we use, if backward compatibility is not an issue and since we are talking about Linux, it won't be. Except if we want to use legacy hardware.

I've checked your bill; the cheapest MB (Blackbird) is 1100 USD, how did you got it for half price? Or you bought this one machine all-in-one? Then how did you get it for nearly 1000 USD cheaper?

I don't believe it will be back ported to an older Kernel, I'm pretty sure Void will provide the newest Kernel,
because the maintainer will buy a AMD Navi then. Void started also with Kernel 5.0, AFAIK.

Because of the "endianness issue", the maintainer of AdelieLinux mentioned something in this direction.
But I'm not a developer, so I don't really know the subject.

I pre-ordered the Blackbird in 2018 on Black Friday. There was a bundle. Mainboard + Quadcore for $999.
The CPU itself costs $375, this means at the end the mainboard had a price of $624.
The heat sink costs only $75 at that time.

The current price increase probably has something to do with the trade war between the USA and China.

Based on the conversation in the bugreport, all who wants to fix the error should put endian swapping on the related fields.
