It was actually not a bad idea to first prove yourself and then tell about the remote work. It could have been that they are so convinced of your work that they accept it. Have you ever applied to Red Hat? They offer a lot of remote working, although not in Hungary. I would like to try a spontaneous application. https://careers-redhat.icims.com/jobs/search I would also refer to some code examples. Then they can see what you have to offer. I have a well-known guy who got a job offer from Apple (in 2005) because they saw some of his code examples (Altivec) on the internet. But he refused it with the reason that he doesn't want to write x86 vector code. Or have a look here: https://remotehub.io/remote-jobs-in-hungary Or here: https://hu.linkedin.com/jobs/sql-remote-jobs https://stackoverflow.com/jobs?q=sql&l=Budapest%2C+Hungary&d=100&u=Km&r=true&j=Contract https://de.indeed.com/Jobs?q=sql%20Remote&sort=date&lang=en&vjk=a65919cf98f83019 Quote:"We currently offer a full-time remote work setup." I guess, you know all these sites already. I think also that maybe NetBSD is the best option. Sadly OpenBSD is BE only.
